I’m not saying Jenner has a disorder, but accompanying disorders are often present in transgenders. And that’s without the added impact of being involved in a fatal car crash. More than 40 percent of transgenders report having attempted suicide at some time, and depression is the major cause of suicide. Many transgenders suffer from depression, anxiety, bipolar, personality, dissociative, schizophrenic, obsessive compulsive, and narcissism disorders, which tag along with the gender dysphoria. Most people do not realize how complex the transgender mind is. The re-runs will be played over and over again with no way to turn them off. No one knows at this point the emotional cost to him of the nightmare he faces each day. Jenner’s unwanted reality show that unfolded on the highway will have a very long running season inside his thought life. As I look at the pictures of Jenner standing in the street next to the wreckage, I thought how symbolic a picture it is of his life today-the torn wreckage of his marriage and family life, a new female persona painfully and slowly emerging. Everyone in each family was injured emotionally even if they were not present at the time. There is no measure for the depth of the pain this accident has caused. Jenner isn’t alone in his grief the victim’s family is struggling with the loss of a loved one. Nothing could be more devastating for Jenner than knowing someone had died in this crash. In the blink of an eye there was death, injuries, and lives forever changed. Jenner had been driving the car which rear-ended another car, pushing it into oncoming traffic where it was then hit head-on. The video footage of the scene showed Jenner visibly shaken and emotionally stressed, standing in the middle of all the wreckage.
BRUCE JENNER CAR ACCIDENT SIMULATION LICENSE
Steindorff and Jenner reached their own settlement last year but Jenner's cross-complaint in the case says Steindorff was driving on a suspended license and was stopped on the road, apparently when she was distracted by her cellphone. When I recently wrote about Bruce Jenner I had no idea that only one day later the former Olympian would be in a real-life crisis, in the midst of a multi-vehicle chain-reaction crash on the busy Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, California. Investigators found that Jenner was traveling too fast given traffic conditions but the Los Angeles County district attorney declined to press charges. Howe then veered into oncoming traffic, where she was struck by another vehicle and killed.
BRUCE JENNER CAR ACCIDENT SIMULATION DRIVER
The driver behind her, 69-year-old Kim Howe, tried to brake in time and wound up being rear-ended by Jenner. 7 accident on the Pacific Coast Highway began when Jessica Steindorff stopped suddenly, according to the police investigation and Jenner's assertions. Therefore, Jenner and Boesch argue, they should be partially responsible for any monetary damages she may be forced to pay. "As a direct consequence and result of this stalking, harassing and distracting conduct, (Jenner) was visually distracted, and the negligence and reckless conduct of the Stalker Defendants did contribute to the cause of an accident where seconds and split seconds mattered," said the document, which was obtained by USA TODAY. Her lawyer, Philip Boesch, said he filed a cross-complaint in a lawsuit arising from the crash on July 29, identifying two paparazzi agencies and referring to the photographers as "the Stalker Defendants." Jenner's cross-complaint asserts that some of the photographers pursued her throughout the day of the crash to get pictures of her, often driving recklessly and too close to her vehicle. Caitlyn Jenner has told a court that some of the paparazzi, who were trailing her SUV the day she was involved in a fatal multi-car accident near Malibu, Calif., in February 2015, played a role in the tragedy.Īt the time, tabloid interest in Jenner was especially high because speculation was rampant as to when Jenner would come out as transgender.
